Dog Rescue Railroad

The Dog Rescue Railroad was discovered when Kerri was frantically trying to saving a coonhound that she happened upon in Las Vegas. She thought that it was such a great idea that she started volunteering for the Railroad, and Mark has joined her for many, also. We will be keeping this page as a scrapbook of all our friends that we have had the pleasure of meeting.

Amy

Amy's journey with us began in the Milford McDonald's parking lot where Kerri spent 2.5 hours waiting! She knows from now on to bring a book or magazine. Amy ended up spending the night with us and Kerri dropped her off with the next leg in Hartford in the morning. Her rescue was on 8/17/03- 8/18/03.

Candy, Milkbone, and Sheba

We did another rescue on 8/31/03. The three dogs slept the whole time in the car from East Hartford to Newton, MA. They were such a pleasure!

Candy

Candy was such a little dear. She had been abused and she was so timid, but seemed very happy to be going home!

Milkbone

Milkbone was sweet and dear. She was going to the same home as Candy.

Sheba

A silly 10 week old puppy! But what a good girl. Kerri and Mark enjoyed the puppy kisses!

Here they all are awake, ready to go home!

Morgan and Savannah

This rescue was from Hartford to Worcester, MA on 9/14/03. What sweet girls! Probably the most docile dogs Kerri ever met! They have a wonderful home in New Hampshire now!

Jack

Here is a cutie named Jack! Kerri drove up to Springfield, MA to pick Jack up on 11/2/03, and brought him for his final destination in East Hartford. Jack had a multi-day trip that started in Nebraska, so by the time he settled in the back seat of Kerri's car, he was all tuckered out and peacefully slept. He may be trained to be a rescue dog!

Shiloh and Maya

These two friends were transported from Danbury to Hartford on 11/16/03. They started their trek in Virginia and were heading up to Maine.

Shiloh

Of course, Shiloh is a beagle. Look at how cute he is!

Maya

Maya is a border collie, and she was transported in a crate because she likes to run! It's believed that Maya was on her own for a year, so she's very shy and not so sure about humans yet.

Ok we/I have done quite a few that we haven't updated you all about but here is the latest.

Bethany

This is Bethany and she was transported on 7/18/04. She is just as sweet as she looks!
